This year's Water Saving Week runs 17th-21st May and is an opportunity for people to share their water-saving hints and tips and to find out what businesses and communities are doing to reduce their water consumption.
One way in which you can make an impact is by purchasing a water butt. Water butts come in a range of shapes and sizes and are designed to collect and hold rainwater. They are a fantastic resource in those dry summer months when your garden needs plenty of nourishment.
You can never rely on the Great British weather, so although winter may seem like the ideal time to buy a water butt, any time that you want to start conserving water, reduce your water bills and positively affect climate change, is the right time!
There are a huge range of water butts on offer, depending on your needs and the space you have available to you.
The Rainwater Terrace 1 Tier Water Butt Tank can hold 134 litres of rainwater but only stands at around 84cm high so is ideal for sitting next to conservatories or greenhouses as it won’t block sunlight.
If space is an issue though, the Mini Rainsaver 100 Litre Water Butt Kit could be perfect for you. It's ideal in small gardens where space is limited and you don't have room for large items.
