What is Anglian Water Direct?

Anglian Water Direct is part of Anglian Water Services Ltd. We use the Anglian Water Direct brand so that our customers can distinguish the products and services we provide from the core water and water recycling services provided by Anglian Water Services.

What is HomeServe?

HomeServe is one of the UK's leading home assistance providers.  For more than 20 years they've made their customers' lives easier by delivering a range of services which help protect their homes.  Anglian Water Direct works in association with HomeServe to provide Anglian Water customers with a range of home emergency insurance products. Anglian Water Services Ltd is an appointed representative of HomeServe Membership Ltd, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) for insurance mediation activity. 

Why do you keep sending me letters?

Anglian Water Direct markets emergency insurance products arranged by HomeServe to customers as we believe the products provide an excellent service in the event of an emergency affecting homeowners' properties. There is no obligation to take out cover with HomeServe - we send letters to customers to advertise the products and point out the benefits customers could obtain if they take out cover.

How can I stop receiving letters?

If you have received a recent marketing letter from Anglian Water Direct or a partner company and do not want to receive any more, please contact us.

Due to the time between letters being prepared and being delivered to customers, there may be one or two mailings which have already been printed and are awaiting delivery. Unfortunately it is not possible to prevent these from being sent, but after four to six weeks you will receive no further mailings.

What is the Mailing Preference Service (MPS)?

In addition to removing your details from our marketing database, you may also wish to register your details with the Mailing Preference Service. This is a free service funded by the direct mail industry to enable consumers to have their names and home addresses removed from marketing lists used by the industry. Why am I still receiving letters addressed to “The Homeowner”?

Please note that we also send non-personalised mailings addressed to “The Homeowner”. These are delivered to all properties in a postcode area by the Royal Mail and we are unable to prevent these from being delivered to individual properties. If you wish to stop this door to door activity, please write to the Royal Mail at the address below:

Where did you get my name/address from?

Anglian Water provides name and address data to HomeServe to help improve the accuracy of mailings sent to our customers. However, HomeServe also purchases customer data from external agencies in order to ensure customers get mailings most appropriate for their needs. External agencies may compile their Consumer Database from a variety of sources, including the Electoral Register. If you would like to stop receiving marketing offers, please complete our marketing opt out form.
