World Water Saving Week 2022

May 23, 2022

Between 23rd and 27th May 2022 is World Water Saving Week.

This week is about opening discussions around the ways water will impact our future. From the impact on climate change and the energy crisis, to food and health, World Water Saving Week will highlight key areas to show how important saving water really is.

According to the UN “water is the primary medium through which we will feel the effects of climate change”. This is why Waterwise, the organisation behind World Water Saving Week, are encouraging everyone to take action to ensure our future is guaranteed for generations to come.

This year’s themes are:

  • Water and Energy
  • Water and Social Justice
  • Water and Food Security
  • Water and Health
  • Water and the Natural Environment

You can find out more about each of the themes here.

One of the ways you can make a change to your water consumption is by buying a water butt.

Water butts collect rainwater, providing you with a cost-efficient and environmentally friendly way of watering your garden.

When it comes to choosing the right one for you, there is so much choice. From slimline products, perfect for smaller spaces, to something more traditional like the Cloudburst Water Butt, to designers versions, such as the Rainwater Terrace which doubles up as a ‘grow your own’ unit.

The full range of water butts available can be viewed here.
